THE RESEARCH ABOUT LIPO FREEZE
After years and years of research and clinical trials, the science about Lipo Freeze (Cryolipolysis) has been proven and well documented. It was developed by Harvard University physicians at Massachusetts General Hospital. They discovered a dermatologic condition in children referred to as popsicle panniculitis. Children who frequently sucked on ice lollies over an extended period of time, went on to develop dimples in the sides of their cheeks.
It later became evident that prolonged exposure to sub-zero temperatures can selectively damage subcutaneous fat while leaving the skin and nerve tissue intact. Based on the premise that fat cells are more easily damaged by cooling than skin cells, they took the science about Lipo Freeze developed it into a highly effective fat reduction treatment.
HOW IT WORKS
The science about Lipo Freeze is very straightforward. It works by delivering targeted cooling to the area of concern. This precise delivery of sub-zero temperatures makes the freezing of fat cells possible. As fat cells are more sensitive to cold than other surrounding tissue, they are crystalised (frozen) and then die. In the weeks and months that follow treatment, the body naturally processes the dead fat cells and eliminates them via the lymphatic system.
Lipo Freeze utilises the power of controlled cooling technology to target and eliminate fat cells from the targeted area of treatment.
In the weeks and months that follow treatment, the body processes the dead fat cells and naturally removes them from the body.
The Lipo Freeze results are long lasting due to the fat freezing process totally eliminating the fat cells in the targeted area of treatment.
Stubborn fat can sometimes resist both diet and exercise leaving us with pockets of fat that we just can’t shift no matter how hard we try.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FAT REDUCTION AND WEIGHT LOSS
What happens to fat cells when you Lose Weight as a result of Dieting?
When you begin losing weight after following a diet plan, your FAT CELLS SHRINK but remain in place and intact. The number of fat cells does not increase or decrease as a result of losing weight when you follow a strict weight loss plan.
So, if you begin to gain weight after you stop dieting, it is most likely due to your intake of fat increasing. In addition, a lack of physical activity will also contribute to your sudden weight gain.
All these factors cause your fat cells to expand as more fat fills them. Inevitably, this leads to you growing in size and gaining weight.
So what happens to fat cells following a Lipo Freeze treatment?
Unlike losing weight as a result of dieting, Lipo Freeze TOTALLY ELIMINATES FAT CELLS in the area treated. It’s actually possible to reduce the number of fat cells in the the area of treatment by up to 40% following a single Lipo Freeze.
Once destroyed, the dead fat cells are removed from the body via natural processes. The fat cells do not migrate to other parts of the body. Instead, they are flushed out of the body via the lymphatic system.
So, there you have it… Lipo Freeze actually reduces the number of fat cells you have in your body which leads to measurable inch loss in the area treated.
HOW OUR BODIES PROCESS FAT
The vast majority of the food and drink we consume contains levels of fat content which is a source of energy.
The food we eat and swallow travels to our stomach and onwards through our digestive systems.
Fat travels to the liver where it’s processed. Excess fat is stored in fat cells and deposited around our body.
HOW THE BODY PROCESSES FAT CELLS FOLLOWING LIPO FREEZE
Our bodies have a particular number of fat cells that expand or shrink depending on whether we are gaining or losing weight.
During a Lipo Freeze treatment, these are targeted with precise cooling technology leading to the fat cells becoming frozen.
The effect of freezing causes apoptosis (fat cell death) and this subsequently leads to the gradual elimination of fat cells.
In the weeks that follow treatment, the dead fat cells are processed and removed from the body naturally via the lymphatic system.
